I often talk about how wonderful the CD of Wangaratta Cemetery records produced by the Wangaratta Family History Group is.
Now there is a new resource available from our friends at Benalla.
https://www.benallacemetery.com/home
This clear and easy to use resource is a great boon to local researchers.

But it’s not only Benalla cemetery records that are available. You can also search the small burial grounds of Winton and Moorngag cemetries at:
https://www.benalladistrictcemeteries.org/home

While you are using these resources that have taken a lot of time and volunteer hours to construct, please remember to not always be a taker. The creators of sources like this, where records have perhaps not stood the test of time very well, appreciate the contributions of researchers who can enhance the records. For example, if you have a death certificate that shows a burial occured at Benalla, Winton or Moorngag, but you cannot locate that burial in the online records, use the contact form on the individual websites to offer that certificate to the cemetery Trust for their records. Remember that when you buy a death certificate prior to about the 1930s, there will be up to five records on that page. Have a look to see if any of the other records on the page list a Benalla, Winton or Moorngag burial and get in contact with the Trust to share that information. Co-operation is what makes the world go round. 🙂
